NAR-016 Context default layer: document

Ending resolves the controlling change

IF the narrative establishes a controlling desire, question, or value conflict, THEN the ending must answer, transform, or meaningfully refuse it ELSE retain an episodic close.

Why the rule exists

Closure comes from resolving the story’s governing movement, not merely stopping events.

The rule fires when this evaluates true. Paths marked below must be present in the fact base; the engine reports the rest rather than guessing them.
